Let's try another path

Today I have a meeting with a friend that is english teacher and has a school.

Let's see what he has to tell me about my interest in being a english teacher.

I will try to be administrative assistant and english teacher on weekends and then maybe only english teacher.

I am looking for a job that makes me happy. And something that I do with love, you know?

This blog I made with love. Because I love to share my knowledge and to teach things I know.

Would you be with me in this new idea?!

I count on you.

my opinion

Here we have a "language tree". It shows where the languages came from.
French, Spanish an Italian came from Latin. That is the reason why people who speaks portuguese thinks that spanish is easier to learn than english, for example.

But my history is different. My first language is portuguese and my second language is english. I am noticing that I speak english better than spanish. Not because portuguese and english are similar but because I studied english for 11 years and then I had the chance to live abroad sometime and practice the language.

Those 3 months I worked at Disney were very helpful to practice and improve my skills.

But I am here to prove that we don`t need to live abroad to improve our english. In 2000 I tried to work  for Disney and I didn`t pass the test and the interview. The person who talked to me said that I had to improve my english to work on the position I wanted, sales.

So I study hard until 2002 when I got the positive answer! I passed the test and interview and they said that my english was very good! Oh I was so excited! I coludn`t believe I done that.

When everything was ready to go... It was like a dream coming true. Well, It was a dream in reality.

I tell you more next time.

See you!

1o post

Aquilo me ajudou a melhorar o meu inglês e o dos meus amigos.

Vamos dividir conhecimentos! Comentem! bjos and Thank you!

1st post

Talking with a friend we come with the idea to write about learning english as a brazilian.

Well I am brazilian and I can say. No it is not easy, but if you face it like a play it could be funny.

When I was 11 I started to study english in my school and I felt a little lost. It was a group of 30 or 40 people with different lives and different levels of english. So I asked my father to pay a course for me.

It was the best choice I ever made. I started to study more and I became a english instructor at school. When I discovered how I like to learn different languages.

That helped me to improve my english and my friend`s.

So I am just beginning today. I will try to write every day and bring some tips of how to learn playing with words, music, games.

See you soon!
